WINDOW LIGHT FOR PORTRAITS
Windows make for nice portrait light. Big windows on cloudy bright days are best, the kind of day used for this portrait. Direct sun on the face is
usually too contrasty.
The window is to Kea's left. I set up a projection screen to Kea's right to bounce light back onto the right side of her face. A simple
blue-gray cloth is behind her for a backdrop. I biased the exposure to the right side of her face, allowing the left side of her face to go very light.
