The San Juan Mountains of Colorado provide some spectacular scenery that is worthy of some "grand landscape" photography. Tucked away in the mountain
back roads are some "intimate landscapes". After shooting early in the morning at
Mt. Sneffels, my brother-in-law (and photo buddy) drove down Last Dollar Road and found this snow covered stand of aspens, just beginning to change colors.To
find Last Dollar Road, head west of Ridgway for several miles on Colorado 62. Look for the turn off to the left. Last Dollar Road is an alternate rout to Telluride Colorado but it may not be passable for some vehicles
in winter weather.
